The beginning of something special.
This August 2026 The Culture Lab kitchen will host its first ever event at the Nannup Flower and Garden Festival. Founder Toby and chef Kappo will be diving into the world of fermentation and hot sauce making for festival goers over two action packed weekends. It marks a big milestone for the project that was no more than an idea 18 months ago. An idea that was made possible by a state funded grant tied to the end of native logging in a few small timber towns. These funds help build what Toby affectionately calls The Lab. A large mobile food trailer equipped to host pop-up food events and educational workshops around the south west. Filling a niche that small communities have been missing.
